Lean and Green Solutions in Las Vegas

PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2009 successfully put sustainability center stage, providing critical support for attendees looking for eco-friendly packaging and processing solutions.

• More than 300 exhibitors at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2009 displayed the PACK EXPO Green icon at their booths and in their Packexpo.com listings. At a glance, attendees were able to see who offered “green” products and services on the show floor.
• Federal government agencies and non-governmental organizations were able to share even more information directly with attendees in the Sustainability Information Center, which offered guidance on conservation and replenishment strategies, and tactics and techniques for the processing and packaging supply chain.
• The Conference at PACK EXPO also got into the green action, featuring 32 sessions grouped into two relevant tracks: Sustainability and Sustainable Operations. Topics covered aspects ranging from materials to lean operations.

PACK EXPO International 2010 in Chicago next fall will continue to grow PACK EXPO Green initiatives and cover sustainability from all angles. The event will provide industry-leading support, experts and solutions for the entire packaging and processing supply chain.
